i love the month of december… of course it could be because it includes my birthday, skiing, christmas and presents :). but really i just enjoy seeing everyone in the holiday spirt and getting together to celebrate with family and friends. this month has been packed full of events and tomorrow oya & i will be celebrating our birthday’s with friends at her place.

i am still trying to get the last of my shopping done. i’ve toned back a lot this year as having been jobless for a month you can imagine it took a bit of a toll on my checking account. :) yeah me “the planner” left without having another job… a few years ago i really would never had been so spontaneous. i could have stayed another 2 months & got a nice bonus, but i’ll have to live without that this year! i don’t regret leaving for a minute, but next time i’ll think about doing it in the spring so i have a whole year to work up to the end-of-the-year bonuses…

i started the ski season over thankgiving weekend in whistler, b.c. (forgot to post about it). we had a group of 10 go up for the long weekend and the snow was amazing! it was the opening weekend for blackcomb so we spent most of our time on that side of the mountain. ming took a bunch of pics on the mountain and while we partied in the village. (which reminds me that i need to go buy a new battery charger so i can take pics over the holidays!) we also had a memorable experience driving back through a blizzard, but matt’s co-worker rob did a great job!

i’m looking forward to heading back this weekend for my short christmas trip. it will be good to see the fam again and road trip with glenna back from denver!
